“INDIANA SPIRIT QUEST”
The Indiana Spirit Quest series of geocaches will take you to a number of historic cemeteries and historic sites built by Hoosier Pioneers. In less than three years, the quest has grown to over five hundred and fifty caches hidden in Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky and Ontario, and the hiders have grown to over thirty cacher teams, most of which are comprised of Dogs and their Humans. Over 1,000 cacher teams have logged over 22,000 finds.

"Chapel in the Woods"
Blink and you'll miss Woods Chapel Cemetery in Brownsville Township, Union County, Indiana. In fact your biggest challenge will be finding a direct route to this hidden gem. Approaching from the north will be easiest so you can spot the dirt path that leads up to the cemetery. It also makes it easier to pull into the dirt path to park. Please park at the bottom and walk up to the cemetery.
There was once a little chapel in the woods on the south side of the cemetery, but it is long gone. What remains is a classic pioneer cemetery maintained by the neighboring property owner. In this humble resting spot several of the headstones have been toppled and broken into pieces.
Interesting markers include an ornately engraved sandstone memorial to "Thomas Dunn, consort of Margaret Dunn." Consort is a typical term found on 17th century gravestones and basically means spouse. While, it's common to see the woman listed as a consort, it is much less common to see a stone referring to the husband as a consort.

The cache is a small container with room for small trades. As usual, the cache is hidden away from graves. Please leave the cache exactly as you found it.
