This is a log only cache in a keyholder.
Continuing with our theme of bridges and streams, we are proud and humbled somewhat to take you to the remains of the Springfield Bridge. This is the oldest standing vehicular bridge in Arkansas. It was completed in 1874, about a quarter century before any automobiles were produced in America. Imagine this old structure of steel and wood served from horse and buggy days to the modern vehicles of the 1990s. This was a period of over 100 years. This grand old relic stands forgotten over Cadron Creek in Northern Conway County and Northwest Faulkner County on Springfield Road.
This cache is a little out of the way. It takes about 25 minutes from I-40 at Plumerville and somewhat longer from the Conway side. Park on the east side of the bridge. I hope you will agree, it is worth the trip just to come here and see this historic old bridge.
The cache is a log only. It is in a magnetic key holder.
Please be careful. The cache does not require walking on the bridge. I do not recommend this cache for children.
Congratulations Saddlebags and F8 we are proud of your First to Find at the "Old Ghost"
