Geocache Description:

You can access Kopachuck State Park Beach by foot or boat (Personally I prefer kayak). If you drive, park in the parking lot and take the trail down to the beach for a fun day. The Cache is hidden on a trail, just above the bank. It should be pretty easy to locate.

The Cache is hidden in a black ammo box under some brush and ferns. This cache contains mementos from our recent Las Vegas Trip. Original contents are: Harley Davidson Cafe cup and mini flags, Las Vegas pen, Las Vegas sticker, Las Vegas shot glass, Las Vegas key chain, pens and pencils and a change cup from the Paris Las Vegas Hotel, a nickel for the slot machines, 2 free tickets (to be used by 9/30/01) for a magic show at the Tropicana Hotel (hey.. no white tigers, but a great show), and a bottle of water (FYI... we spent almost $15 a day just for drinkable water in Vegas for 2 people).

About this spot...Cutt's Island is a fun island to explore. Take a rubber raft, kayak.. or just about anything that floats to get there. There are even buouys to tie up to. The marine life on this island are prolific, and the sand bar is great for kids to play on. Kopachuck Park is plentiful with people in the summer. It's no secret, this is some of the warmest water in Puget Sound; so go for a dip. In the late spring, a pod of whales come here to feed. You can actually spot them just from the beach, but again, I prefer to be in the kayak at their level. Remember to stay at least a hundred yards (if not more) away from them so as not to disturb their natural feeding patterns. Nature's pure beauty at work here with these magnificent creatures. Cache in - Trash out and enjoy the beach! ~Mountainblue ;-)

February 14, 2001 -- Went to check on this cache today, and discovered it had been moved!!! We decided that since the original area was looking a little trampled to move the cache further down the beach. The coordinates should also be much more acurate this time around (something to be said for averaging).
