This cache is hidden near scenic Simons Rock. This used to be a
popular spot until a near by property owner shut the door by
posting the access area from the main roads. My brother used to
maintain the gas wells in this area and he told me about the back
door to this spot. You will be on some State Game Land so remember
to wear orange during hunting season. Park at: N 40 32.833, W 079
00.428 off of Mitchell Rd and hike down the gaswell road. Expect
some mud, most gaswell roads are muddy. Round trip is less than 1
mile and is easy terrain. If you find yourself doing something
dangerous, stupid or fun (depending on your perspective) you are
looking in the wrong spot. Enjoy the awesome view of the Yellow
Creek valley below.
