Yet another
parkway cache brought to you by
There are over 175 parkways in Aiken dating back to its
original design and layout. They were designed to keep Aiken’s rich
source of nature preserved. In many of these parkways you may
notice some trees with numbered signs on them. The entire city of
Aiken has been declared an Arboretum where you will find many rare
tree's and shrubs. These numbered trees you see in the area are
part of the Colleton Avenue Trail. For more information on the
Aiken Arboretum visit the library just up the road and pick up a
Trail guide from the box to the left of the Whiskey Road
entrance.

Makin - Cache?
Each
September Aiken Host's a Craft Fair in this stretch of parkway's.
While walking the fair this year we thought, "Wouldn't it be neat
to have a cache here, right under all these muggles's noses without
them even knowing?" Well now there is. This cache is a small "boat
floater" type of canister, a little bit bigger than a 35mm in that
it is longer. Some small trade items will fit. PLEASE put it back
the way you found it and watch for muggles watching you! If you are
here during Aiken's Makin, you will likely find a performer nearby,
great music!
