SeaHawks Traditional Cache

This Cache is located near a pond in the Ted Harvey Wildlife area. The pond area features a paved parking lot and the pond itself has a floating dock. Please wear orange during hunting seasons.
My interests in helicopter aviation as executed by both the United States Navy and Cost Guard inspired me to place a SeaHawks themed geocache. SeaHawk helicopters are manufactured by Sikorsky. They are mission specialized derivatives of the Black Hawk helicopter that are available in branch specific configurations.
The SeaHawk configuration is utilized by the United States Navy to perform a versatility of missions including anti-surface warfare, antisubmarine warfare, search and rescue, combat search and rescue, naval special warfare, troop transport, and vertical replenishment.
The JayHawk configuration is utilized by the United States Coast Guard to perform a versatility of missions including search and rescue, law enforcement, drug interdiction, military readiness, and marine environmental protection.
This cache is stocked with small First Aid kits and green lightsticks which is common equipment onboard search and rescue equipped SeaHawk and JayHawk helicopters. It is interesting to note that while conducting night rescues, it is a common practice to secure a green lightstick or two on the hoist cable so that the rescue swimmer can easily find it when it makes contact with the water. Additionally, a green lightstick is affixed to the rescue swimmers goggles as an added visual aid for the helicopter crew.
Also for those interested, I've placed some CD-ROMS containing Sikorsky mission brief brochures in the cache. These brochures are loaded with information and pictures on the different helicopter versions in the SeaHawk family.
If you are in the military and affiliated with a particular Naval or Coast Guard helicopter unit, feel free to drop your
units patch or decal. It would complement the cache and I would enjoy checking it out.
