A bit lost art in University Place. Quick find with perfect parking.
Long time resident and local businessman (Jimbo the Barber in the Pinecone bldg) tells the story of the owner of the Prestige building placing a bust of Chief Seattle in front of the building. The dedication plaque is long gone but an informational plaque is still there. It recounts one of Chief Seattle’s most memorable speeches as told by the great theologian Joseph Campbell. The funny part is any real research shows the Chief never uttered most, if any of the words accredited to him. But you know what? That is the Power of Myth.
