Off a gravel walking path loop in a small wooded park close to the highway and near the Shelby County Fairgrounds.
A small, fairly well camoed Lock N Lock plastic container. The walking path is part of an outdoor learning park, but it seems to have been pretty neglected of late. A little CITO might be appropriate.
I would guess a lot of people drive right by here and don't even know the park is there. There are some pretty mean briars (I have a special name for these suckers), but depending on your approach, getting there shouldn't be too difficult. Also, there are some negative trees around, i.e. holes where trees used to be and are no more, so watch your step, but the cache is NOT in one of those holes. If you don't want to bushwhack in, park up at the arena building or the other little building and enter on the southwestern corner of the woods. The trail will be obvious. I would not recommend parking on the highway.
CACHE HAS BEEN MOVED FROM PREVIOUS LOCATION DUE TO TREE CUTTING BY THE STATE. NEW COORDINATES: N 33 10.715, W 086 37.914
