This cache is a tribute to a fallen officer.
When we remember our Troops for their ultimate sacrifice for our freedom, we often do not think to remember our fallen Police Officers across our country for their ultimate sacrifices working as soldiers in an on-going "urban war".
This cache was placed to Honor and Remember Texas State Trooper Randall W. Vetter. Trooper Vetter was killed near this spot on August 3,2000 after stopping a vehicle for a minor traffic violation.
