Chena Notch
Located on the Chena Lakes Recreation area, this is the final
PedalPushin cache for 2006. This ammo can cache is winter
accessible using skis or snowshoes and will require some probable
wading and/or river crossings during the summer months. Please be
prepared before heading out!
This end of the Chena Lakes area rarely sees humans but we have
encountered moose, fox, coyote, and all forms of small game while
exploring this area. A series of game paths criss-cross the area
and provide the alert cacher with paths that don't require
strenuous bushwacking. We found a round trip to be about 4 miles
depending on which trails one used.
