Cache accessible on foot, bicycle, car, and snowmobiles in the winter, however, this region gets a ton of snow, so there may be a big snow bank that you have to climb over to get to the cache (1.5 terrain rating). In warmer months, this will be a 1 terrain rating and will be accessible by all.
This is our very first cache!
This cache is located within the Cle Elum city limits. Should be a good break from driving if you've been on I-90 too long! Close to the interstate (from W-bound I-90, less than 2 mi.; from E-bound I-90 less than 1 mi.) Stop, get some coffee, then come looking for our cache! Just one block from a city park that used to have a swimming pool in it.
This cache is in a black metal container about the size of a loaf of bread. Original contents: pencil sharpener & star pencil for logging, centipede, $500 (monopoly money, sorry!), marble, ice cream eraser, chess piece, 2 small balloons, Thomas trading cards, piece of yellow foam, bowling pin, Harley Davidson (a toy, silly!), cow magic towel, paper clip, 'great job' coupon, and Broken Arrow Travel Bug. A five-year-old was a major contributor to the contents :) Have fun!!
