Geocache Description:

NOTE 1: Coordinates above are for the Legacy Trail trailhead, not the cache! The cache location is accessible a) year-round and b) from more than just the intended trailhead.

This can EITHER cover the current length of the Legacy Trail, OR it can be accessed by a more direct route if you can figure out the alternate path. I encourage the entire route if you have the time.

The Truckee River Legacy Trail is a gift to the community, both present and future. The Legacy Trail starts near the entrance to the Truckee River Regional Park and extends eastward along the Truckee River for almost two miles. It can be enjoyed by hikers, bikers, walkers, kids, and dogs-on-leashes (and please remember the poop bag!) The trail starts as a paved curve around the first few tees of the disk golf course down towards the river. From the river barbeque on, the terrain is fairly flat for the remainder of the current trail.

So! You came here for the cache. Enjoy the trail while you find it!

The beginning of the Legacy Trail is N 39º19.595 , W 120º10.609 if you would like to enjoy the long version.

Use (visit link) Regional Park and (visit link) Riverview Sports Park to solve the puzzle, or use the clues inside caches 1 and 3-13 (you won't need all of them) to solve for the coordinates.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The goal of this cache is to introduce you to a very pleasant hike along the Truckee River. The hope is that you will take time for a quick wade in the river, maybe sneak in a picnic lunch, and perhaps view some of the local wildlife.
To begin, visit the website links in the general description above. These websites will contain the answers to the queries you seek, enabling you to decipher the coordinates of the cache itself.
Your final destination is a plastic storage container about 3x6x10". PLEASE replace the cache and rehide as you found it... muggles pass very near!
Have a GREAT visit to our Legacy Trail!
Clues:
1) The third digit of the highway number that takes you by Truckee River Regional Park = D
2) The number of holes of disk golf you can play at this park + 1 = CB
3) The total number of picnic areas available for reservation at Truckee River Regional Park = A
4) The number of multisports fields at Riverview Sports Park = E
5) One less than double the first digit of the number of available spectator seats at the Rodeo Arena = D
6) The last digit of the street address number for Riverview Sports Park = F
7) On the 0.8 mile Nature Trail at Regional Park, there are "CE" number of different native and naturalized plant communities represented from the Truckee area.
So the coordinates you need are
North AB CB.BCE
West CEF FB.CDB
Check the math:
A+B+C+D+E+F=22
(B+D+E)–(A+C+F)=14
ALTERNATE PUZZLE POSSIBILITY: if you find the other 6 Legacy Trail series caches, 1-3-4-5-6-7 (numbers repeated in 8-13), you will in fact have all you need for the alternate way to find the puzzle cache! Look in the lid of each. (If you can't get the BBQ cache, just make an educated guess and you'll be close enough to use your geosenses.)
Note: Generally accessible during snow season (definitely ups the access rating a notch.) Probably a can-do with skis or snow shoes; actually finding the cache may be an issue. Will update periodically.
