Thanks for coming out everyone. This was the biggest event yet!
We had 74 total teams come out with 200+ cachers walking
the halls of the USAFM. It was a bit on the cold side again
but that is in the name of this event (Winter Getaway lol).

We had a great number of people come out to Fuddruckers
after the event and we packed the place. We want to thank Fuddruckers
for taking us in and giving us as much space as needed.

Next year we will rent a hall to have the after event dinner in.
Each year because of all of you guys, the event keeps growing
and growing and MVG wants to thank you for all coming out and
having fun with our great cachers in the Dayton area and beyond!

going inside. You can pick it up between 11:30am and
12:30pm.

After you pick up your travel pass to board the
Great Dayton Winter Getaway III. You will be spending
most of your time indoors BUT you will want to bring
something warm to put on as later on in your trip you will
be heading outside for a short bit to find the wonderful
Prizes you worked hard for inside!

(How this Works! just in case you were not with us the last two years)
You will find that you need a travel pass. When you get this
pass you will find that it's not complete. To complete your travel
pass you will have to find items inside that will help you
fill in all the blanks on your travel pass.

(THESE BLANKS ARE THE WAYPOINTS TO 3 EVENT CACHES OUTSIDE)
Plus a bonus cache or two

Once you finsh your trip and collect your caches, You can meet
everyone for a bite to eat and talk about Geocaching.

We are eating at Fuddruckers at 2476 Commons Blvd in Beavercreek,Oh

When you check in we will have a sign up list for dinner with
the number in your party. We have the party romm and we can
take over the whole place if needed.

4:30ish till 6:30ish

As always, this is a free MVG event and it's open to
everyone.

This event has over the years defined geocaching in Dayton, Ohio
so come on out and become a part of our geocaching history.

We will also crown the winter of the 2006 Winter Getaway travel bug
and start a 2007 Travel bug race.

For those of you coming down on Friday to spend the night, or you
are staying Saturday Night, Please let us know and we will set you
up with a guide to go geocaching in Dayton With.

This will also be the last day will be able to order the
2007 MVG Trackable geocoin

We have alot more things to add and we will updtate this page
with those extra things so you may want to put this event on
your Watch list!

Each year we do a travel bug race that ends at the next winter
Getaway with the handing out of prizes to the winners. For 2007
we picked the Air Force F-16 Thunderbird which is also on our
