Welcome to
my "Other
Side of The Hill" Cache!
This cache will
bring you to the"Other Side of The Hill"
or maybe even Over The Hill
- Turkey Hill that
is.
The hike is just
under 2.5 miles roundtrip from the parking area at the Manor
Township Cresswell Park. It follows the Turkey Hill Public Walking
Trail (THWT) which is maintained by the Lancaster County
Conservancy. There is some elevation change along this
trail so it should get your blood pumping a bit and help you
with that New Years resolution.
Parking Area
Coordinates are: N 39° 57.260 W 076° 26.092
From parking area go
West until you hit the fence. Once at the fence make a left and
follow along it (Please stay next to the fence and do not take any
shortcuts through the nearby backyards) until you get to:
N39 56.975 W76 26.520 then make
a left and follow the blue blazed trail. When you get to the two
yellow pipes sticking out of the ground you will have to leave the
road and find your own path to the cache. This is where it starts
to get a bit tricky. Please be careful with small children around
this area. You DO NOT need to go near the lower train tracks as
these are active tracks. STAY AWAY!
The cache container
is a large ammo can filled with the usual caching goodies as well
as some "special" items for the
first few finders. Please be sure to hide the container as well as
you found it if not better.
