Geocache Description:

Time to beat the Winter Blues - though no complaints so far this season - and get together to talk caching! Everyone who want to attend is invited! New to caching or looking for new adventures? All are welcome!

We'll be meeting at our favorite hangout - The Outdoor Campus - on Saturday, January 20th from 5:00 - 8:00 PM.

Our event will consist of the following:

1. Potluck Dinner

2. Educational Aspect

3. Craft for the kids

4. Time to chat and share

***********************************************************

1. Dinner as follows:

We are going to ask everyone to bring something based on their last names. How much you need to bring will be determined by the number attending the event. Below will be general items that will get more specific to type and totals close to the day of the event (and may require changing around depending on who attends.) Please send us an email (to the profile above) as to what you will be bringing. If we have duplicate items we will work it out prior to event.

Main part of the meal is, for the moment, taken care of. For the rest:

A. If your last name begins in the range of A to G please bring chips and a drink for all to share.

B. If your last name begins in the range of H to N please bring a dessert to share with everyone.

C. If your last name begins in the range of O to U please bring fruit and/or veggies and dip for all.

D. If your last name begins in the range of V to Z please bring a prepared salad; i.e.: potato, cole slaw, etc.

We also need one person to bring napkins, one to bring dinner plates and one to bring cutlery for everyone, unless one group wants to bring all of those.

2. TOC has recently become WiFi enabled. We will be meeting in the auditorium, hopefully with a laptop, to get the lowdown on the technical side of Geocaching (things like PDAs; .LOC/.GPX files; PQs; CacheMate; etc.) and how it can help us out in the field. Bring your equipment and questions. We will also discuss the general direction of the group for the future.

3. While we gather, the kids can play. They will be set up with a craft or 2 to keep them occupied and entertained.

4. Our usual time to catch up & gossip about the latest & greatest in the caching world.

5. Clean up and depart by 8:00 pm

If you plan to attend please post a note below and then email the above ID to indicate what you will be bringing for the potluck. Check back for notes & updates.
