When the seven gems of the magic Belt of Deltora were stolen, the evil Shadow Lord invaded the kingdom and enslaved its people. Determined to rid their land of an evil tyrant, our geocachers are on a perilous quest to find the lost gems, which are hidden in fearsome places throughout the kingdom.
In secrecy, with only a hand drawn map to guide them, our geocachers united in their hatred of the evil one, are on a perilous quest to find the gems stolen from the magic Belt of Deltora. Only when all the gems have been restored to the Belt can the evil Shadow Lord be overthrown. Now they must seek the cache, hidden in a shimmering, barren waste, kept jealously by an unknown guardian. Confusion and strange, terrible enemies await them in the ordeal of the Shifting Sands.
Beware the evil Hive guardian of the secret location where the cache is hidden. The Hive are fierce creatures who hunt in vast swarms. They are blindly loyal to their queen who lurks in the deepest chasm of a huge nest.
The cache contains a logbook, pencil, swaps and a card with a gem clue. Remember to record the details of the clue; you will need this information to solve the location of the final cache in the Deltora Quest. These caches have been placed with the assistance of seven and twelve year old boys. If you know a child in this age range you may find that they can be very helpful.
