Geocache Description:

This is in a state hunting area. You can drive to within 50 feet of the cache, but there can be a bit of a scramble up a hillside to get to where the cache is hidden. I put it at a 2 though, because there is an easier way to walk to it, by going a bit out of the way.

This is a beautiful area, even just for the drive. This is the northern edge of what is called the Coulee Region. There are many pretty roads to travel on down in the Chimney Rock area, and if you haven't been here, you'll enjoy it. You might even pass a teepee on your way there. There are often deer and turkeys in the area, and there have been bear, and even a mountain lion around as well. Today, when we placed the cache, we saw a couple of bald eagles.
In hunting season this area can be busy, and you might want to wear something orange.
The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to Land Manager of the Wisconsin DNR. Geocaches placed on Wisconsin Department of Natural Resouce managed lands require permission by means of a notification form. Please print out a paper copy of the notification form, fill in all required information, then submit it to the land manager.
