Geocache Description:

Small cache and easy park n grab. Contains log, apple and dog tag. BYOPP (Bring your own pen or pencil).

In Swisher county, in the late 1950’s, Mr. Pat Hipp decided to build a different type of grain elevator. It was believed to be more economical to build than the conventional style elevator, costing 30 cents per bushel held, as opposed to several dollars per bushel held. Thus was born two spherical shaped grain elevators.

In the mid 1960’s, a very talented and beautiful country and western singer made her debut on the Porter Waggoner Show. Besides being known for her talent as a song writer and singer, she quickly became noticed for her buxomly figure. Yes, I am speaking of Miss Dolly Parton.

It was not long after Miss Parton’s debut, That Mr. Hipp’s grain elevator became know as the Dolly Parton Elevator throughout Swisher and the adjoining counties. When you see it you will understand why!
