My first cache! It is located on a trail on the south side of San Elijo Lagoon, a .66 mile walk from the parking area at N33.00.205 W117.16.350
San Elijo Lagoon is a terrific walking area with great views that change daily due to the ebb and flow of the ocean. Rangers are working hard to enhance the trails by naming plants along the way, providing benches and clearing trailsides of overgrowth. Terrain is generally flat both east and west of I-5. A bit of paradise in busy, bustling North County.
You'll be looking for a small tupperware type container with the original contents consisting of a watch, a page from a Far Side calendar, a couple of cool magnets, a geocaching compass keychain and a travel bug.
