By George, look out! Or look down, go down, then look sideways and up...
I am 73 in 2017. It is ten years since I put this in place. I am amazed it has remained popular and so many have found it. Even if you don't find it, even if you don't try to find it, it will be a great trip :-)
Thanks for all the photos. I like the photo of eight feet from the cache, I suspect there may be a family tradition there!
I'm even more amazed that the cache, if it's still the original (I can't get to it these days) survives. It's small but identifiable when you get there... to the best of my knowledge and from that ground zero photo.
Good luck!!

This is a pretty interesting walk, you may experience hangover. And if you stopped a way down the road towards the highway, you may have experienced falls.
But by George, when you get the choice of up or down, from the carpark:
S 35 deg 10.423
E 150 deg 22.298
... it won't matter which way you go because if you go down you finish up going up, if you go up you have to go down soon.
When we put this in place we went down first. Easier to go that way and to follow advice and hints. We couldn't get a GPS reading down below, but if you look at where Tobey is, photographed up on the rock, the cache is way below there. There are two pictures taken down below, with clues.
[NOTED ADDED DECEMBER 2011: I am amazed people are still finding and enjoying this, listed in 2007. There was a drought then. From recent rports it is evident that the wet year 2011 has produced lots of growth and leeches and other hazards. Also trees grow and fall and may alter the clues! Please travel with sensible clothes and footwear. If you get a leech on you, put salt on it promptly, or a cigarette lighter flame (don't burn your pants off) and the leech will fall off unhappy. Go slowly and with some noise, heavy footed – don't let children race ahead – to move black snakes and goannas off the track. Enjoy! ... Dennis]
