The cache bears the name of a local club which I supported back in 1978 when I lived near Dover, and yes, the club is still in existence. The trips to the Goodwin Sands by boat and hovercraft to play games of cricket were well documented throughout the world, but were only part of the story. The 'Goodwin Sands' are a regular sight for people visiting this stretch of coast and hopefully on your visit to this spot you will see the waves breaking over the sands.
The cache is a small 7cm x 5cm pot containing a logbook, pencil and 3 small swaps. It's location can be a very busy one, PLEASE be mindful of passing muggles when retrieving and replacing the cache.
The cache was also the starting point for the 'Sayreville' - United States of America - Unite For Diabetes Travel Bug on 4th December 2006
Covid-19: If you have no intention of signing the physical logbook in this geopot at this time, please visit when you are prepared to sign it. ALL physical logbooks MUST be signed for a claim to a find to be made.
