Located at Wolf
Creek Park on State Route 53 just south of Fremont. This park sits
on the banks of the Sandusky River, an Ohio Scenic River. Camping,
picnicking and fishing are available activities. There are
restrooms, picnic tables and grills here and a Shelter is available
for use and may be reserved. A small playground area is set up for
the kids. The modern canoe launch was built here to allow easy
access to the river. The "BUCKEYE TRAIL" a statewide hiking trail
system courses through the park. Look for the blue blazes painted
on posts, trees and rocks to mark the Buckeye. Trail. Bring a
picnic lunch and enjoy your visit to Wolf Creek Park.
This cache is
located just off of a groomed grass trail that is part of the
Buckeye Trail that run through the park and the State of Ohio. You
should not have to go far off the beaten path for this one. Please
use the parking lot outside of the Campgrounds or the lot at the
Picnic Area unless you are registered as a camper.Do not park on
the shoulder of SR 53.
