Welcome to the Bodden Town Guard House Park! This is a little known site in Grand Cayman. Bodden Town was the first settlement of any size on Grand Cayman.
The park is small and easy to find. There is ample parking around it. The terrain is very easy to navigate (and the whole park is not that large). While there, enjoy the informative plaques inside the small stone building. Also, be sure to check out the cannons. Very few people know about or visit this area.
This park is also situated by one of the areas hardest by Hurricane Ivan. As you look out at the beach, you can still see several destroyed homes.
This is not a small/medium sized lock n lock. It will hold smaller items and TBs. I left a pen and a new log.
This geocache has had an interesting effect on the park. When placed here originally, the park was overgrown and somewhat neglected. Due to the visitors who have come geocaching, the area has started to take more pride in it. This year they have cut back the overgrown brush and even decorated the park for the holidays. I've changed the hint, because the old hint no longer makes sense. It's nice to see a very positive side-effect of geocaching!
