the cache is located along highway 20 in western colusa county. it is one of a series that i call the "road to clear lake." all caches are near the road, you can drive within a few steps of them. each cache is named after an automobile that i encountered in my youth.
my friend, duster belvedere, used to drive a plymouth barracuda over the horizon and thru the suburban area to his job at the savoy. he had an angry fury one day when the neon arrow wouldn't function on his advertising sign, it was supposed to be reliant. he made a valiant effort to get it to work, but finally ordered a laser model from a store on the plaza. i used to see duster out jogging in the early morning breeze, he was such a road runner. last i heard, he had moved over to cranbrook (a satellite of cambridge) where he had more space for his daughter's colt, named scamp, to prowl around the larger pasture there. i bumped into him at the olympics in sapporo, but he didn't stay long. he was such a voyager...
