Lost Scout Camp Traditional Cache

Lost Scout Camp is located in Duck Lake State Park, and is a reasonable walk from the parking lot (depending on which lot you choose!) The trails are well marked and should lead you most of the way.
This cache is a tribute to Camp Shawondosee, a retired Boy Scout Camp that operated at this location from 1928 through 1970. Although the buildings have long since been removed, the footings for all of the buildings still exist. I would recommend parking in the state park and using the trail system to navigate to the site. The trails appeared to be in good condition and were well marked. After you have found the cache, I would suggest hiking west to Lake Michigan to enjoy even more great scenery. The initial inventory of this cache includes: 2 Ducks Unlimited Coins, Carabeners, and misc toys. The first finder prize for this cache is 10 Swiss Franks. Enjoy
