While the local TB Hotel is missing, I think this cache will serve
as a good replacement. The container is large and remains pretty
dry. Also, the cache is well located and easily finable. Hopefully
the Ladybug Hotel will be back up and running soon, but please feel
free to use this as a TB drop location in the meantime. Just keep
those TBs moving! The cache is located right off of Seven Mile
Beach, a very popular area of Grand Cayman. The cache site is next
to a well known business. If you feel like going in to the business
after finding the cache, it is a great spot to relax or take a tour
with the family. If you are visiting from a cruise ship, this
location doesn't take very long to tour, and is even offered as a
tour for most ships. You can easily come independently though. It
is walkable from the port, but it is a long walk. There is no entry
fee required to access the cache. The cache is also within easy
walking distance of the Ladybug Resort cache.
Across the street there are several restaurants and a great
gelato shop (especially if you are over heated in the tropical
weather!). This is also near a public beach area.
The management of the site gave permission for the cache to be
placed and is aware of its presence. They will also be helping with
the upkeep of the cache.
The original contents of the cache have many touristy goodies,
including:
maps of the island
small toys
pencils, erasers, and markers
post cards
key chains
various toiletries
There is also a wheresgeorge dollar in the log book for the FTF the
cache.
There is plenty of space for Travel Bugs and other trackable
items if you wish to drop them here.
Small note on cache maintenance: Cache owner
visits for several weeks each year, also has a local cache guardian
who will assist. Contact info on file with
