The Indiana Spirit Quest series of geocaches
will take you to a number of historic cemeteries and historic
sites built by Hoosier Pioneers. In just over two years, the
quest has grown to five hundred caches hidden in Indiana, Ohio and
Michigan and Ontario and the hiders have grown to THIRTY cacher
teams, most of which are comprised of Dogs and their Humans.
Over 1,000 cacher teams have logged over 20,500
finds. .

"Ephlin Cemetery"
This is Parke
County'sFIRST OFFICIAL Indiana
Spirit Quest. Look for others
coming soon.
This quest will bring you to Ephlin
Cemetery in Liberty Township of Parke County near Tangier. I
have been looking at this cemetery for a while and felt it was an
excellent location for an Indiana Spirit Quest. The actual
location of the cemetery makes it somewhat unique since it is
located high on a ridge overlooking the county roads below.
This is somewhat of a smaller cemetery and has some really old
markers dating back to the early 1800's.
From the Parke County records there
appears to be 15 veterans buried in this cemetery; 9 veterans from
the Civil War, 3 veterans from World War II, 1 Korea War veteran,
and 1 Vietnam War veteran.

cemetery:

THIS CACHE THAT INDICATE NIGHT CACHING WILL BE DELETED WITHOUT

The cache container is A 2QT Lock & Lock.
You MUST sign the log to claim a Smilie. If you cache
at night, or don't sign the log, or reveal the additional hint
in your log, or don't fulfill any additional requirements,
your find log will be deleted without notice...If you think
these terms to be unfair, don't bother to hunt this cache. The
cache is not located near a grave... If you find a fallen US
flag, please stick it back in the ground. As always, please be
respectful of our pioneer dead and our beloved Veterans, and
