Inspired by the Motorway Mayhem series, B-Road Booty are meant to
be nice easy stops to break up a journey, and maybe a chance to
show off some local features that are normally hidden close to
those sedate B-Roads.
Parbold windmill was built in the 18th century to replace an
earlier one on the River Douglas. This one was steam powered.
Nowadays, the front annexe to Parbold’s old windmill plays host to
The Mill House Gallery. The gallery has a constantly changing
exhibition of contemporary art by some of the North West’s leading
artists.

might be easier in the dark, you can park within 10 foot of the
cache location!
