The key to finding this cache is to first solve a puzzle. The
solution will get you to the first stage of a four stage
multi-cache. (The clue to getting you started with the puzzle can
be found right on this page.)
DO NOT go to the above coordinates unless you are
seriously injured and in need of medical attention. You have some
puzzle solving to do before you leave home to start the hunt!
"They say love is the
universal language - I say consider the
source!"
This cache, especially because of it's name and lovely picture,
has nothing to do with "how to make lunch" for yourself; it is a
real challange, both mentally and using your geocaching senses -
not for the faint of heart!
Once you have solved the puzzle and gained the coordinates, you
can proceed to Stage 1. You can click on the "Evince" button
below to verify the coordinates.

Once you arrive at Stage 1, you will need to search for some
information.
The information you are seeking is as follows:
- How many total people are in the Beates family?
("A")
- Next take a bearing South for 19 feet. Mike & Nancy
have been members since when? ("B" & "C")
- Now take a North bearing for 34 feet. What is the Dan &
Dana date? ("D," "E," "F," "G," "H," "I'" "J")
- Now take a West bearing for about 9 inches. How many digits are
under J.J.'s name? ("K")
Stage 2 coordinates can be found by using the following
formula:
North degrees = 28. For North minutes
"LM.NOP":
- L is equal to D.
- M is equal to K.
- N is equal to (D +
F).
- O is equal to (H -
K).
- P is equal to (E -
G).
West degrees = 081. For West minutes
"VW.XYZ":
- V is equal to (C x E x
G).
- W is equal to A.
- X is equal to B.
- Y is equal to (A -
B).
- Z is equal to (B +
G).
Once you have the new coordinates, go to that location, and
search for a nano. Inside the nano are the coordinates you need for
the next stage.
At this location, there is no need to trample landscaping or dig
up anything - respect the environment. Please take care in
returning the nano to it's original camouflaged position.
With these new found coordinates, you can proceed to Stage 3.
Once at Stage 3, you will need to obtain some more information:
North degrees = 28. For North minutes
"LM.NOP":
- L is equal to the number of "R's"
on sign.
- M is equal to the number of letters
in the first name.
- N is equal to (the number of "R's"
+ the number of screws holding the sign on).
- O is equal to the number of screws
holding the sign on.
- P is equal to the number of mammals
found here divided by 2.
West degrees = 081. For West minutes
"VW.XYZ":
- V is equal to the number of "A's"
on the sign.
- W is equal to the total number of
letters in the full name on the sign.
- X is equal to (the number of
mammals found here divided by 2).
- Y is equal to (the number of screws
holding the sign on times 2) + 1.
- Z is equal to (the number of "P's"
on the sign times 4) + 1.
With these coordinates you can proceed to Stage 4 to claim your
"hidden treasure". The treasure is hidden in an ammo can. This
stage may need some good "geosenses" to find it. If and when you
find the cache, please take the time to camo the cache and cover
your tracks - I want the next cachers to come along to have the
same fun as you did!
Congratulations on FTF by hiddenrock!!!
PLEASE NOTE: Regarding clues - I will give you some small
hints to help you along the way. But remember, you will be a
better cacher if you work for it! Also in your logs,
DO NOT make any references to any of the puzzle info, cache
locations, cache containers, or any other spoilers or I will have
to delete the log (and make you walk the plank)!
Having said all that, I do want to keep the cache goodies of
high quality and value! Please come armed with valuable treasures.
Respect the environment and camo jobs at all locations. As always,
please keep me posted on maintenance issues.
Happy hunting ye landlubbers! ARRRGH!
