Geocache Description:

A quick cache and dash in a virtually cache-less part of DC.



***IMPORTANT*** The cache turned out to be hidden in an NPS/FS managed territory and is now disabled and will soon be archived. My apologies and thanks for understanding. ***IMPORTANT***

The cache is in a transparent ziplock container filled with some goodies. It is hidden in a small and neglected forested patch in NW DC, west of the Rock Creek Park. The hiding spot is only few yards from a road that can be busy at times, especially during rush hours. It is also a busy intersection so drivers will very likely not even notice you in the woods. I don't drive so I have no idea where would be a good place to park but it is only a short (less than 10 min) walk from Conn Av buses. Do not walk on the 36th street unless you have a death wish. The cache was hidden in winter so I was able to get a fairly accurate reading (the error from 50 readings was about 10 ft). There is a lot of possible hiding spaces around so just keep looking. NOTE: I walk by this cache everyday on the way to work and use it for Travel Bug/Geocoin "laundering". I usually drop in one TB/GC at the time for others to find/swap/exchange/etc. If you want in on this kind of action start "watching" this listing. free website hit counter
