Geocache Description:

This cache is located in the Riverbend Nature Area, southwest of Holt. It is within about 200 feet of the blue trail, and it's an easy amble from the trail to the cache. You can park at the parking area on Nichols Rd - see the park map at http://www.ingham.org/PK/Maps/BUR%20Color%20Hiking%20Trail%20Map.pdf

This cache is designed to "hatch" more caches in this area. The main container (the "hen") is a large plastic camo'd bucket, hidden in a typical way. Inside are smaller containers painted brown. These are the "chicks".
Each chick has the basics of a cache - a container, with a notebook and a pen inside a ziploc bag.

There is one additional container made of white plastic. This one contains the log and the loot for this cache. PLEASE LEAVE THE WHITE CONTAINER INSIDE THE BUCKET. ALSO, PLEASE SIGN ONLY THE LOG IN THIS WHITE CONTAINER. In the past, people signed all of the logs, including those in the chicks. Those log pages were torn out and discarded. All it takes is one here, folks.

Anyone finding this cache is free to take a chick and hide it. You become responsible for that cache, of course. I'd like it if you sent me a note and told me about your new cache, so I can go out and find them. If you just want to make a find, that's OK too.
