Well, the time has come... the
Philco Problematic has finally gone the way of the dead parrot, and
bit the dust. This cache will take you to where the mighty
Philco sputtered its last.
If the smoke and entrails dont give away its remains, just look for
Rogheffs gargantuan GPSr. We've all heard the stories and
myths, but, here it really is.
We were there to witness the last touching moments between the
Shrubber and his trusty Philco... when it began to make an unusual
(well, more unusual than usual) sputtering noise, when the smoke
turned black and poisonous, and its screen finally went
blank.
It was a sad, sad sight.
To honor its memory, Rogheff allowed us to take it out and find it
an appropriate resting place.
And this time, the coords will take you to the right spot.
Roger would rather
see his Philco Problematic remain an active part in caching, and
rely on his standby GPSr, the "1969 Ronco Pocket Personal
Locater/Juicer". (Set it and forget it!)
Fear not - This won't help
with your Rogheff cache finds. As an eternal tribute to the
Problematic, he will continue to place them at similar coordinates
by simulating the Philco's reception with his new GPSr. He
does this by coating it in tinfoil, and burying it 3 feet while at
GZ.
