This is a micro with just a log to sign.
This site holds fond memories for me. In an earlier life I enjoyed
some success as a professional musician, and this is where it all
began for me. At the age of 14, I played here at a summer carnival
with my friend Skip – my first time playing in public. As we were
unaccustomed to working with a live microphone, we did embarrass
ourselves a bit when we had some trouble getting our instruments in
tune, and uttered some words that one ought not to say over a live
microphone at an otherwise family-friendly function. We
nevertheless did well, and got our first paid gig a few weeks
later.
The lesson I learned at this site is one that you ought to
heed: When it’s time to perform, you just have to get up there and
do it!
