E is for Eternal Flame
A series of caches featuring North Alabama area, one letter at a time. Find as many of the series as you can, and if you get all twenty-six, email me for a special prize.
Big Spring Park is the location of an eternal flame, the structure has a bronze copy of the Declaration of Independence. In the 70’s the “eternal” flame was extinguished because of the energy crisis. It is a popular meeting place, so consequently many muggles may be present.
I could tell you more, but let’s all share some information. Feel free to post information or pictures about this monument. Check out my gallery picture, it actually shows the location of the cache log.
As always, if you have better cords, please post them or let me know. I have tried to get multiple readings, multiple GPSr units and provide accurate information.
This is a two part multi, not at posted cords. From the marker travel 69 feet WNW 294 degrees.
Note - this cache seems to travel a lot. If you are using this cache for a challenge and it cannot be located, just take and post a picture of you and your GPS at the eternal flame.
You are also welcome to replace it.
This consideration is valid during the GPS Adventure Maze in Huntsville-Space and Rocket Center, for those needing this type cache.
