Geocache Description:

The Badd One takes his caching mania to Stafford County

As a child, I looked at a map of Kansas and saw Stafford County. For some reason, I decided it was full of rattlesnakes. (see the Topozone map for further warning in bright blue letters) Thus, I decided not to go there. A lot of cache hiders must agree because there are no caches in Stafford County, at all.

This was all well and good, until Elmo decides to set up this 105 county challenge. I waited several weeks for someone to pluck up the courage to brave the Rattlesnake and hide one there. Finally, after passing the hat and getting $10 to help fund my missionary/martyrdom, I headed for Stafford County. This is the result.

Stage 1: A Badd Company brick very close to the Rattlesnakes. The co-ordinates for stage 2 are written close to it on a rather large object. Stage 2 is a magnetic key holder, also perilously close to the Rattlesnakes. Inside are several slips of paper with the final co-ords. Needless to say, the third stage is also in the area of the Rattlesnakes, but is an ammo box, an Elmo316 provided ammo box, to be exact.

Now, if the Rattlesnakes are truly out on the rampage, the first stage is totally inaccessible and the road to stages two and three will also be impassable.

After spending a couple hours in Stafford County, I decided it was kind of pretty in a Kansas winter sort of way, and that perhaps the Rattlesnake wasn't so bad after all.

Just remember as you pursue the Rattlesnake to watch out for buzzing noises!
