The cache is hidden within Victoria Park, the largest park on Hong Kong Island.
Because of its convenient access, the park has become the venue for many public activities and functions including Chinese New Year Fair (February), Hong Kong Flower Show (March), Mid-Autumn Festival Lantern Show (September) and Hong Kong Brands & Products Expo (December).
One of the landmarks of the park is the Queen Victoria Statue, a testimonial of the colonial history of Hong Kong. Across the road, where the statue is facing, is Hong Kong Central Library.
There are LOTS of muggles around, especially on Sunday. So, be extremely careful and stealthy when getting and replacing the cache.
The published coordinates is where the statue of Queen Victoria stands and is not
the location of the cache. The cache location can be found by solving this puzzle:
LABIMPITOSEROSEROISALABINGISADALAWADALAWAAPAT
Hinted added on 4 Feb 2007:
The puzzle is not related to the Chinese language.
So, you are not at a disadvantage if you don't speak Chinese.
Relocated on 5 July 2008:
The cache is relocated to another location.
Replaced on 1 March 2012:
The outreaching tree is chopped and only the stump is left. Same location.
PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ANY SPOILERS REGARDING THE PUZZLE IN THE LOG. Thank you.
Good Luck and enjoy!
