Geocache Description:

A pleasant walk (if a little exposed) along an old drovers road. Finishing at a fairly controversial feature. You either love em or hate em!

THERE SHOULD BE NO NEED TO CLIMB ANY FENCES! PLEASE STICK TO THE PATHS AND USE GATES / STILES.

When I set the cache, the landowner had blocked one of the gates and I reported him to the council who promptly got the path re-opened. Don't give the guy any amunition by wrecking his fences!!!!!!!!

There's a few ways into this one but the easiest is to park at 51°33.781'N, 003°29.395'W and walk along the Ridgeway, an ancient drovers road which was also a route for pilgrims travelling between Gloucester and Margam Abbey. Because of the number of churches and shrines that were built along its length, it's sometimes known as Parish Road.

This particular stretch has been quite controversial in the past with the building of some new landmarks. Some people can't stand them but I love walking close by and feeling how alive they seem.

On a breezy day, you can tell exactly why they chose this location!

The track is extremely wet and muddy in places good boots (or even waders!) required
