Geocache Description:

This cache is nestled between the rouge river, University of Michigan Dearborn Environmental Research Area and Henry Ford Community College. The main terrain consists of small paths through the woods but the actual cache would be messy and hard to get to if there have been heavy rains. As always, if you have any questions about how to get the cache read the hint.

There are three ways to enter. The best experience can be had by parking in the Henry Ford Estate (located on the University of Michigan, Dearborn campus.) You can take about an hour and a half tour of the Mansion for a fee or read the history and see where Henry Ford lived. Then you can walk the estate grounds Henry had designed by noted landscape architect, Jens Jensen. The estate grounds connect directly to the environmental research area. From the estate it is about 0.8 miles to the cache. Alternatively, you can park in the parking structure on the north side of campus and walk directly into the environmental research area by the gate just south of the Environmental Interpretive center. The center offers programs on everything from how Maple Syrup is made to lessons about Beekeepers depending on the season. From here the cache is about 0.4 miles. No matter which way you choose the main trails will take you to within about 482 feet before you have to consider leaving them.
