The cache is not at the given coordinates. This cache can only be done at night with the use of a car and flashlight. The final cache is an ammo box containing various goodies and “Road Trip” buttons for those who want to commemorate your adventure.
This cache requires you to follow a route guided by sets of reflective signals. You must locate four telephone poles along the way. At each of the telephone poles you need to record a two, three, or four digit number. These numbers are then use to derive the coordinates of the final cache search area.
Begin your travels at the given coordinates and head WEST on Cregar Road. Look for sets of three reflectors on telephone poles or trees. Each set of reflectors is grouped in the shape of an inverted “L.” If the horizontal arm extends to the RIGHT of the vertical, you need to turn RIGHT at the intersection. If the horizontal arm extends to the LEFT of the vertical, you need to turn LEFT at the intersection. If a signal does not exist at an intersection, you need to continue along the same direction of travel. Signals may be on either side of the road. In total there are 15 turns over a 11.3 mile somewhat circular route.
Along the way you will be looking for four telephone poles, each marked by a small triangular grouping of reflectors. Record a number from each of these telephone poles as follows:
Pole 1: Two digits, “AB”
Pole 2: Four digits, “CDEF”
Pole 3: Four digits, “GHIJ”
Pole 4: Three digits, “KLM”
Using the above numbers, the final cache search area is located at North 40 4D.JHL, West 74 5A.MDJ. At these coordinates, scan the area for short series of reflectors leading to another small triangular group of reflectors a short distance into the woods. The cache is located within 10' of them. There is a small pull off area near the search area, but there is also private property near by. Please do not park on private property.
