Hillandale Shopping Center was opened in 1958, then known as the "Park and Shop." In the 40's, Trailways bus service alighted here and followed (then) Avenel Road, taking War Department employees to a newly-bustling Washington, D.C. Multi-ride ticket books were sold for a dime a ride. We support the continued prosperity of Hillandale by visiting these local shops!
