Yay! This is our (myself and MyronAllen’s) first geocache! After
attempting a few caches in the surrounding Glasshouse Mountains, we
decided to place a cache in the area that didn’t require so much
climbing experience. The terrain is quite steep at times, but
always walkable. The cache is not at the top of the muntain, so no
scrambling involved! A bushfire has recently been through the area,
so the vegetation was quite sparse at the time of placing the
cache, but it should grow back quickly and make this a reasonably
hard cache to get to. The co-ordinates above are for the first
waypoint, so you will have to visit the above location to be able
to “access” the main cache. You will need to collect an item from
the 1st waypoint, so please return for others. You can park near
the corner of Orchard Drive and Marsh Road (approx. S 26 55.54 E
152 56.073). There is a sign with a ‘T’ and ‘212’ (ie. Mt.
Tibberoowuccum, elev 212 m) on it nearby. Walk up the trail near
this sign, and make a right turn at the “T-intersection.” Then, the
easiest way is straight up the first ridgeline on the left to the
co-ordinates above. Grab what you need, and keep walking! There are
various trinkets inside the main cache – and a Scratchie for the
first finder! Good luck…
