Picnic With The Dead Traditional Cache

This cache is located in Pennfield NB. In a well known picnic site. Cache is Micro, bring your own pencil.
The cache is between a cemetary and a picnic area. I don't know about you but there is something eery about having a picnic beside a bunch of dead people. I think this would be a creepy place at night.
Actually the picnic area is quite nice with lots of trees around for shelter. The satellites were off a bit while I placed this cache, it kept showing about 5 to 10 meters off but I guess it depends on your GPS. YOU may Zero out beside a picnic shelter but just look in the trees between the picnic shelter and the cemetary.
There is a small monument in this picnic area as well. I never had the time to read about what it said, but I will be back to do so.

History of the Monuments in the area:

There are three monuments here honouring three separate events in the history of Pennfield.
1. There is a monument to the first settlers of Pennfield.
The Quakers were persecuted in England because of their religion. Many migrated to Nova Scotia. In 1783, a group under the leadership of Sir William Penn, settled a few kilometers from this site, in Belle View, this was later
called Beaver Harbour. A group moved to the adjacent area which was named Penn Field , after Sir William Penn. In 1803, the population of Pennfield was 54
2. There is a monument highlighting an event in Aviation History.
On August 11th in 1932, Captain James Mollison landed his plane ( a Puss Moth Aircraft ) in Pennfield, after departing Portmarrock in England. This flight made aviation history by being:
1) The first Westward solo flight across the Atlantic
2) The first ocean crossing in a light plane
3) The longest flight in a small plane
4) The shortest ocean crossing on record ( 24 hours )
Captain Mollisons' original destination was New York, but a shortage of fuel caused him to land in Pennfield.
3. There is a monument to all those who served at the two Charlotte County Military Bases during World War 11. ( The Pennfield Air Base) which trained RCAF pilots and crew and the Camp Utopia Army Base which trained assault troops.
There is alot of history of this area and I am researching more however this is some information for those of you who like history.
