Geocache Description:

Use caution at the removal of cache!

What would a woodland series be without at least one wildlife tree? Often in clearcuts, you will find one lone or clump of trees, left standing to house the local wildlife, and this particular tree, although not in a clearcut, is typical of what woodland creatures like to have for a residence. Most commonly very old, large, or even dead, these offer refuge for birds, squirrels, chipmunks, mice, racoons, porcupines, etc. They offer housing, observation towers and hunting perches for hawks, owls, eagles, and woodpeckers can use these on which to play their special tunes. They serve an important function for food supply, storage facilities and shelter.

The cache is fairly easy to locate, in a medium ammo container, and will require caution when handling.

It contained, on placement, the usual log book, pencil, and small trading items. Please leave the cache mascot inside
