Geocache Description:

The area is natural wetland area that belongs to the government, but is also fenced into the Emlanjeni nature Reserve. The wetlands are saline and is fed by rain water and therefore very shallow pans.

In the middle of the wetland area is a bird hide that is currently falling apart, but makes an excellent place to view water fowl. While you doing some birding in the area keep an sharp eye out for a couple of square lip (White) rhinos in the area!One of the rhino cows recently gave birth to another calf which is no bigger than a small bulldog!Seeing that the terrain is open to the public you are welcome to walk to the hide, however please refrain from wandering around the wetlands for you may put your life in grave danger with the rhinos! Other animals like Eland, Springbuck, Impala and Ostriches also make use of this area. You might want to pack in some wellington's (gumboots) if you dont fancy walking through muddy sections!
