Do you have a favorite salad, entre or dessert that you want to
share with other geocachers?
It's been my experience that even more than talking about
geocaching geocachers like to eat while talking about
geocaching!
A new thread has been added to our DixieCachers.com forum just
to talk about recipes for favorite foods, so let's combine these
interests!
Bring the fixin's and let's each prepare and cook our favorite
dish, maybe teach each other a cooking secret and share a great
meal!
No store-bought bucket of chicken for this one... if fried
chicken is your thing bring a yard-bird and some batter!
I have rented a dining hall with a professional kitchen that
will allow up to 10 geoChefs at once to prepare dishes and will
seat well over 100.
We used it to cook Thanksgiving dinner for the family; if all
these folks can prepare meals in one kitchen without killing each
other anyone can!

Facilities include a large electric stove, large gas stove,
outdoor grill and turkey fryer, so most any food item or method can
be accomodated.
The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, serving utinsels and
such, but with this many cooks you may want to bring your own pot!
Tell us in your Will Attend log what you intend to cook and if
possible post the recipe to the 'Recipes and Food' thread on
DixieCachers.com.
There is no charge, but I do need folks to stay after the meal
and help clean up!
This is of course an open invitation to all geocachers! We
need test subjects, uh, people to eat all this food, so
cooking is not a requirement!
GeoCoin Show and Sell!
I will be attending GeoCoin Fest in California Feb. 17th and
plan to bring back coins not yet seen in the South.
Bring your GeoCoin collection and let's all do some trading!
Great Circle Night Cache Run
Let's work off all that dinner on a fun night-time cache
run.
We'll depart the event and travel North on Hwy 75 to Oneonta,
West on Hwy. 231 to Cleveland and back South to the event site on
Hwy 79.
That's a 54 mile loop not counting off-route driving to the
caches, (all caches are less than 1 mile off the route) so if you
want to get home early take your car or car-pool with like-minded
folks!

Get your carpool group together and let's have a blast
You will need a flashlight, an if you have an FRS radio bring
it!
Time: Let's plan to EAT at 6 p.m. so come as early as you
need to to prepare and cook. Keep in mind that you are sharing
the kitchen so add extra prep time! I can open the hall anytime if
you want to cook something that takes hours. Unless someone tells
me they need more time I will open the kitchen at 3 p.m.
