Geocache Description:

******* Wednesday, JANUARY 24th, 2007 from 7:00pm to 8:15pm *****

This event will be held at the Eastern Mountain Sports (EMS) on Route 9 in Natick, MA.

This event will be held to "SHOW/EXPOSE" Basic GPS use to some potentially new cachers and their families & friends.

Fezziwig377 will be leading the event with some of the other EMS Guides, going over "the basics." Some of what we will be talking about is posted below:

What does G-P-S mean? What is a GPSr?

What is a WAYPOINT?

How do make a TRACK? or a ROUTE?

What is WAAS?

and other Frequesntly Asked Questions.

A GPS unit will not be needed to attend. If you have one, bring it, if not, come anyway.

NOTE TO EXPERIENCED CACHERS: (with 10+ caches under their belt) Experienced Cachers may find this event to be a bit too elementary, as it is just the basics of using a GPS unit(if you have found a cache before, you know all the info we will be talking about!). =) However, if you would like to come and be a "mentor" to some new cachers or sign the log for the event and cache about in the area for the event, by all means stop by.
