Geocache Description:

Cache placed by kind permission of Mr Simon Bennett of Shipbrook Hill Farm.

This is a beautiful cache-site particularly in spring when the woods are carpeted with bluebells. The walk to the cache also gives superb views of the Dane Valley with the tall spire of Davenham Church dominating the skyline.

The cache is a medium container concealed in a camouflaged bag which should easily accommodate travel bugs.

The route to the cache is initially along narrow country lanes, and care should be taken particularly with young children. Enter the wood from the road at the top end where there is no fence, beware of nearby swampy area if in the dark or with young children.

Parking on the lanes is difficult so it is best parking on Church Street, Davenham just before the bridge over the River Dane.
