Westfield Falls Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

jashounds: This cache was placed to continue a tradition of bringing people to an area to stump them and make them think. There are many logs that describe people's frustration but also their perseverance and that makes me happy. In the last several years there has been a marked increase in people contacting others to get the exact spot. Some of these discoveries even add descriptions of the area. One not only described the area but posted "dead give-away" pictures. These people have spoiled (IMO) the intent of the fun with this cache. Rather than stew over these posts it is time to archive so that this location can be open to a guardrail cache.

Thank you to all the people who posted their adventures. I enjoyed reading them.

Geocache Description:

One of the most visible waterfalls in the state, albeit from I-91N.

This area should be a big hit to children of all ages. Who can resist climbing the rocks, skipping stones or just getting lost in the sound? After a period of rain this area thunders and will drown out the noise of the highway. There are some steep drop-offs here so mind the little ones and watch your footing if you’re going to attempt some climbing. Also, this place gets a fair amount of trash so please do what you can. To get to the parking area take Miner St off of Country Club Road.
