BC Spirit Quest #14: Cash, Cache & Capsules
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
Starting in one of Chilliwack's newest developments, this Puzzle Multi-cache was ideal for late night Shoppers, until the actions of others turned it into a daylight only cache.
THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES:
Instead go to:
N(Coat of Arms-Maple Leaf).(Beaver+Maple Leaf).(Polar Bear+Polar Bear+Polar Bear+Caribou+Caribou+Blue Nose+Beaver+Maple Leaf+Maple Leaf+Maple Leaf)
W(Loon+Blue Nose+Beaver+Beaver+Maple Leaf).(Coat of Arms+Beaver+Maple Leaf+Maple Leaf).(Polar Bear+Polar Bear+Caribou+Beaver)
When you get to the first stage look for the obvious hiding spot(s). Let the telephone number be:
A-BCD-EFG-HIJK. Consider exactly how exposed you are and why we made this a multi-cache.
The cash is quite near to:
N K(F+G).DE.EEB
W A(A+A)A.GE.(F+G)(J/2)G
and is a short drive or walk east. We made the coordinates close but not exact to make this a slight challenge. You should come up with the cash quickly, since we really struggled to find a good hiding spot here. Please ensure you rehide the cash carefully. You are looking for a pill bottle.
Started with various international coins collected in our travels, this "cash cache" is for international coins only and NOT for general swag items.
Often coins display symbols or images that are important to the issuing country for various reasons and are therefore quite educational and enjoyable for both kids and adults. Enjoy the coins and if you can, add to the collection. You may also trade your international (not USA or Canada) coin for one you like. Do not take out coins without adding to the collection as this will reduce future player's enjoyment and wreck the theme.
Bring your own pen to sign the log. TB's will not generally fit in this cache.
THE CEMETERIES:
This Cache is located just down the road from two Cemeteries, so it has been converted to a BC Spirit Quest Hide. Same Puzzle, same locations, new name.
Carman United and St. Mary's (Catholic) Cemeteries sit side by side, perhaps showing that the two branches of Christianity can exist peacefully in Canada, while being seperate and distinct. Walk around and see the early graves on both sides of the imaginary line between the two sites. The first little Mennonite boy to die in Yarrow (1928) is buried in Carman United.
Enjoy the history. Happy Spirit Questing!
