Geocache Description:

This cache is available for adoption. If it disappears, I will not be replacing it as I am not currently an active geocacher. Update 1/14/2013: This cache has been adopted by k1lgore! :)

This is a small cache located in what I consider the heart of Redwood Park. It is an area that is thickly forested with Redwood trees, where two streams and a creek come together. Please do not leave the trail at any time to get to this cache, this area is prone to erosion.

The container is a small clear lock-n-lock with a log, pens and trade items. This area can be busy so some stealth may be required. Please leave the cache well covered. There tends to be inconsistent and/or poor sat coverage in this area. Please bring the hint in case you are having trouble getting a good reading! When I took the readings, my accuracy varied from 30 feet to 70 feet, but when I went back to place the cache, I could get no better than 89. I averaged 14 readings taken over about 15 minutes and verified on topozone. There are a number of trails that you can take to get near this cache. The Stream Trail has the most gradual elevation change an is the most direct from Skyline Gate Staging area, but dogs are not allowed off-leash. The French Creek Trail is my favorite since it has a great deal of ecological diversity (you will likely see Madrones, Bays, and Douglas Firs along with poison oak), but it is fairly steep. The Tres Sendas Trail is more gradual than the French Trail and can be accessed easily from Moon Gate. Enjoy! 7/21/07- I replaced the missing cache and moved it about a foot away from its original hiding space with the hopes that it will need little camo to hide it completely. Please make sure it is well covered when you return it! The hint still works. Cache on! Yay, Randy4Fun! Another FTF on one of my caches!
